The ancient city of Tangchaodun

¡¡Lies in northwestern suburb in Qitai county in Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, according to textual research ,it is ruins of Pulei county in Tang Dynasty. the rampart is still exist, is 315 meters from east to west and is 490 meters from south to north, is rectangle, basin? pot? jar? arrow chain? tile and ancient Arabian currency are unearthed. analysed from unearthed relics ,there were inhabitants which lived in this city in Song and Yuan Dynasty.

Mount Bogda

Also called ¡°Bogduo Mountain¡± and situated in the Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Mount Bogda is 5,445 meters above sea level and one of the highest peaks in the Tianshan Mountains. Covered with snow year-round, Mount Bogda also has the nickname ¡°the Sea of Snow.¡± Along with three smaller peaks, it magnificently penetrates into the sky, and Lake Heavenly Lake nestles into Bogda1, 900 meters up its northwest slope.

Ruins of ancient city of Beiting¡¡Lies in 10 kilometers north in Jimsar county, is a city of Han and Jin and Man, a place of Cheshi latter kingdom court. Yongping 17th year in Han Dynasty, Gonggeng Wuji Jiaowei stationed troops here. Zengguan 14th year(640) in Tang Dynasty, set up Ting state and was controlled by state. Chang'an 2nd year(702),set up ancient city of Beiting. Later was destroyed by war. Now only exists remnent wall, but shape and scale of ancient city is cognizable. The ancient city is divided into inner city and outer city, rectangle, perimeter is 4,596 meters. Inner city lies in northeastern outer city. There are turrets around the outer city, there are enemies' dais and moat of prevent city encircled in the outer city, there is Yangcheng north in outer city.

¡¡Saurian valley¡¡Lies in Qitai county. During 1987 to 1988,China-Canada united dinosaur exploration group unearthed a saurian dinosaur fossil, its body is 30 meters long, is the biggest saurian dinosaur fossil in Asia at present.
